Open Settings > License. Verify the Google account you intend to use, then start the trial or annual subscription. If you already purchased, restore your subscription instead.

  3. Download the AMDB definitions

Open Settings > Definitions and tap CHECK FOR SIGNED DEFINITIONS. Wait for a verified package to become active.

  4. Allow access and run your first scan

Allow notifications when requested. In Scan, choose App Scan or Files & Storage and review the result.

  5. Choose your ongoing options

Start Protection for the ARMADA app-controlled protected folder. Optionally configure Daily Scan for your selected folder or accessible shared storage.

Already paid?

You do not need to buy again or enter a licence key. Follow the restore steps on section 6, then complete the AMDB and scanning steps.

Activate your licence

Installing the app and signing in are separate from confirming a subscription.

Settings > License

  1. Choose the account you want to use

Tap VERIFY GOOGLE ACCOUNT, read the account-verification notice and continue. Select your intended Google account. If another account is already selected, use SWITCH GOOGLE ACCOUNT.

  2. Check the selected account

Review the GOOGLE ACCOUNT and SUBSCRIPTION STATUS sections. Keep a note of the account used for ARMADA and the account used to pay in Google Play; these can differ.

  3. Load the available subscription options

Tap REFRESH SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS if no offer is displayed. Trial and offer availability depend on eligibility and the current offer.

  4. Choose trial or annual subscription

If offered, tap START 7-DAY FREE TRIAL. Otherwise choose SUBSCRIBE ANNUALLY. Follow the account-verification prompt and review the Google Play purchase sheet.

  5. Confirm in Google Play

Check the Google Play account, price, payment method, trial end date and renewal terms before confirming. Merely opening checkout or signing in does not activate a subscription.

  6. Check that access is active

Return to License and review the latest access and subscription status. If it has not refreshed, use RESTORE SUBSCRIPTION and REFRESH ACCOUNT STATUS. Do not make a second purchase to fix a delayed or pending result.

If you already subscribed

Skip the offer and checkout steps. Use RESTORE SUBSCRIPTION with the original accounts. A restore checks your existing purchase; it does not charge you or grant a new trial.

Understand the offer before confirming

An eligible trial lasts 7 days. Google Play bills the annual subscription after the trial unless you cancel before the displayed deadline. Without an eligible trial, the annual subscription is charged according to the purchase sheet.

If FOUNDING 100 is offered, review its first-year price and regular renewal price. Founding membership follows the first successful paid year; starting a trial alone does not complete paid membership.

Continue to definitions only when the app confirms active access. A pending payment or an unverified purchase is not confirmation of activation.

Download the AMDB definitions

AMDB is the detection-definition database used by ARMADA scans. Download and activate it inside the app.

Settings > Definitions > Signed Definitions

  1. Check access and connectivity

Make sure your licence or eligible trial is active and your phone has a working internet connection. Leave enough free storage for the download and installation.

  2. Request the update

Tap CHECK FOR SIGNED DEFINITIONS. Keep the app open while the first download and verification complete, and follow any displayed progress or action message.

  3. Verify that the package is active

Look for ACTIVE and SIGNED PACKAGE ACTIVE. Review RELEASE, SEQUENCE and LAST INSTALL to confirm that a package was installed.

  4. Check update freshness

SIGNED CHECK records the last successful signed check. A successful check does not necessarily mean a newer package was installed; the current package may already be the latest available.

  5. Return to scanning

Once definitions are active, open Scan and choose the scan you need. You do not need to download an AMDB file from a separate website or import a customer-supplied file.

Keeping definitions up to date

The app requests automatic checks about every 12 hours. It also requests a foreground check when the last successful signed check is at least six hours old. Android may defer background work, so use the manual check when you want to review the current status.

If an update fails

Read the displayed error and check internet access, active licence status and free storage. Retry the manual check. A failed update may leave a previously verified package active; check both the active-package status and the last successful check.

If definitions are UNAVAILABLE

Do not treat a blocked scan or missing definitions as a safe result. Resolve the download or activation problem before relying on a scan. Contact support if the error persists.

Ready to scan: licence access is active, definitions show ACTIVE, and you have selected the content you want ARMADA to inspect.

Allow access & run your first scan

Choose the scan scope yourself. Android controls which apps, files and folders ARMADA can read.

1. Allow notifications

Open Settings > Notifications and tap REQUEST PERMISSION if it is shown. Allow notifications in the Android prompt so ARMADA can display scan or protection status and action messages. If permission was previously denied, review the app notification settings in Android.

2. Choose a scan in the Scan tab

ScanWhat to choose it for
Quick ScanA shorter check of changed visible user apps and the ARMADA app-controlled protected folder. It does not replace a broader scan.
App ScanInspect installed-app APKs that Android makes visible and readable to ARMADA, including accessible split APKs.
Files & StorageInspect files or a folder you select using Android, or accessible shared storage when the corresponding permission is enabled.

3. Give file access only for the scope you need

For selected files or folders, use the Android picker and confirm access to your chosen content. For a folder used again later, allow retained access when Android asks. Broader shared-storage scanning uses a separate in-app disclosure and Android storage permission.

You can review selected-folder and shared-storage access in Settings > Scanning. Another app's private data remains inaccessible, even with broader shared-storage access.

4. Wait for the result and review coverage

Run one scan at a time. Review the analyzed items, detections and items that were not analyzed. Open the result details for errors or inaccessible content. An interrupted, incomplete or failed scan is not a successful full check.

Read the result correctly

NO_THREAT_DETECTED means that no threat was identified in the content successfully analyzed with the active definitions. It is not a guarantee that every file or the whole phone is safe. UNKNOWN or not-analyzed items remain unresolved.

If a finding offers quarantine, read the confirmation and choose the action deliberately. Quarantine and deletion are different. Restore quarantined content only when you intend to make it available again.

Protection & optional Daily Scan

These are separate features. Check their displayed state after configuring them.

Start Protection

Settings > Protection

  1. Confirm definitions are active

Complete the licence and AMDB steps first. Allow notifications when requested.

  2. Start the service yourself

Tap START PROTECTION. Check that PROTECTION ACTIVE and MONITORING RUNNING are displayed.

  3. Review the actual coverage

Protection monitors only the ARMADA app-controlled protected folder. Use App Scan and Files & Storage for other supported content.

  4. Check again after an interruption

Android can interrupt foreground work. If monitoring shows STOPPED, reopen the app, review its status and start Protection again when needed. STOP PROTECTION stops this monitoring.

Scope matters

Protection does not provide continuous whole-device, private-app-data or kernel monitoring. Turning it on does not mean that every location on the phone is being watched.

Set up Daily Scan, if you want it

Settings > Daily Scan

  1. Choose the scope

Select SELECTED FOLDER and use SELECT FOLDER, or select SHARED STORAGE and use ALLOW STORAGE ACCESS. Review existing access if it is already granted.

  2. Choose the time and enable the schedule

Allow notifications, confirm active licence access and definitions, then choose DAILY TIME and tap ENABLE DAILY SCAN. Stop a running scan before changing its scope or schedule.

  3. Check that the request was confirmed

Review the schedule status. If the request did not complete, use RETRY DAILY SCAN REQUEST and read any action message. An unconfirmed request is not an enabled schedule.

  4. Review later results

Check Daily Scan history and result details. Use SAVE CHANGES to change an enabled schedule, or DISABLE DAILY SCAN to stop future scheduled scans.

Daily Scan requests a scan around the selected time. Android power management, permissions and other running scans can delay or block execution. A configured schedule alone is not proof that a scan completed.

Restore access & solve setup problems

Use your original accounts when reinstalling. Avoid duplicate purchases while resolving account or payment problems.

After reinstalling ARMADA

  1. Install again from the official Google Play listing

Use the Google Play account that holds the subscription. In ARMADA, open Settings > License and verify the account originally used for ARMADA.

  2. Restore the existing purchase

Tap RESTORE SUBSCRIPTION and review the latest status. Use REFRESH ACCOUNT STATUS if needed. If a legacy purchase needs linking, follow LINK EXISTING PURCHASE only when the app offers it.

  3. Repeat local setup as needed

Check or download definitions again, re-grant file and notification access if requested, then review Protection and Daily Scan. Restoring billing does not guarantee that local settings, scan history or quarantine content have been restored.

A reinstall does not reset a trial

If RECOVER ORIGINAL TRIAL REMAINDER is offered, it recovers only the original time still remaining on the first qualified phone. It does not start another 7 days or transfer that trial to another phone. A reset or Android profile change may affect recovery.

Common problems

What you seeWhat to do
Paid in Play, but access is inactiveCheck both accounts, restore the subscription and refresh status. Check whether Play shows a pending payment or a billing issue. Contact support if paid access is still missing.
No trial or offer displayedRefresh subscription options. Check eligibility and the selected account. Do not assume that every account or phone qualifies for a new trial.
Definitions unavailable / update failedCheck licence access, connection and free storage. Retry the signed-definition check and record the displayed error if it persists.
Scan button disabled or scan incompleteCheck active definitions and access, file permissions and any running or paused scan. Review the items that were not analyzed.
Protection stopped / Daily Scan did not runReview the actual service or schedule state, permissions and Android background restrictions. Check history; do not infer completion from a saved schedule.

Changing the ARMADA account does not change the Google Play billing account or cancel its subscription. A purchase already linked to another ARMADA account is not automatically transferred.

Billing, privacy & support

Keep your receipt and account details so you can manage the subscription and request help.

Manage or cancel renewal

In ARMADA, open Settings > License > MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION. You can also open Google Play, select the purchasing account, then go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions and select ARMADA Antivirus.

Review the next billing date, renewal price and payment method. To prevent the first paid charge after a trial, cancel before the deadline shown in Google Play. Follow Play's confirmation steps and check the resulting subscription status.

Uninstalling is not cancellation

Removing ARMADA, signing out or requesting account-data deletion does not cancel Google Play billing. Manage cancellation separately in Google Play. Cancellation generally stops future renewal; access follows the period and status shown by Google Play and ARMADA.

Your files and account data

Scanning is performed on your phone. Scan files, local paths, scan results and quarantine contents are not uploaded by the default scan flow. Account verification and subscription checks use online services. Read the privacy policy for the current details.

Contact ARMADA support

Include your phone model, Android version, ARMADA version (Settings > About), the time and exact error message, and the relevant licence or definition status. For a purchase problem, include the Google Play order reference from your receipt and the ARMADA account reference shown in License, if available.

Send account or order references directly to support rather than posting them publicly. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, licence tokens or suspicious files.
